Off-Campus Athletics
ACA students have the opportunity to participate in athletic programs offered by the public high school serving the community where they live. To make this possible, ACA schedules Physical Education as the final class period of the day. Students participating in an approved off-campus sport may be dismissed during that period so they can arrive at practices and competitions on time. Currently, approximately 30 percent of ACA students participate in athletics at several local high schools, competing in football, volleyball, tennis, cross country, swim, baseball, golf, and track. Many have distinguished themselves not only through their athletic ability, but also through their leadership, discipline, and sportsmanship. Off-campus athletics also give our students a natural opportunity to live their faith beyond the ACA campus. Through the way they compete, treat their teammates and opponents, and engage in everyday conversations, they can offer a quiet but meaningful witness—both on and off the field.
